Tall Poppies

Tall Poppies by Louise Bagshawe

Tall Poppies

Elizabeth Savage is born with a silver spoon in her mouth. However, her father hates her, knowing that she is the result of an affair her mother had with his best friend. All he wanted to do is to get rid of her, and he did - by sending her off to Switzerland. There, Elizabeth was handpicked as a national skier, representing her own country, but was despised by her team-mates who were jealous of her.

Nina Roth was the exact opposite. A girl forced to work at a young age for her folks were too lazy to care, she was determined to get out of the place she calls home. With sheer grit and determination, she works her way to the top, finally working in the biggest pharmaceutical company.

These two people are as different as the day and the night, but they are so similar in other ways.

They will then realize, the more prestige you get, the more enemies you have…

Grit and determination will bring you far. Never give up on yourself.
