How far would you go, to turn back time, to get something that should belong to you? Would you scam, trick, and stab another person in the back to achieve your goal?
Originally I didn't want to watch the movie, cuz well. I ain't such a big fan of Jake Gyllenhall. He's pretty okay in The Day After Tomorrow, but my cup of tea runs more towards either Chace Crawford or the clean cut version of Colin Farrell. Have you ever watched Farrell's "The Recruit" or "S.W.A.T". Those are awesome movies.
Since I'm an awesome fan of Jerry Bruckheimer - producing classic movies that I can rewatch over and over again such as "The Rock", "Con Air", "Armageddon", "Coyote Ugly", "Black Hawk Down" and "Pearl Harbour" - seriously you guys have to watch the above mentioned movies, it's all AWESOME. Didn't really like the Pirates series - Johnny Depp is hilarious and a joy to watch, but Keira Knightly and Orlando Bloom are not really my cup of tea.
I digress.
Prince of Persia marks a good comeback for the awesome producer - good plot and good action and even I have to agree Jake Gyllenhall looks convincingly ripped (and no I don't mean it in the torn and tatters kind of way). And there's the female lead - playing Princess Tamina, who really has the classic princess look - is actually Gemma Arteton - the immortal priestess in Clash of the Titans. It took me till the credits to recognize her name.
Shall not divulge the plot - in case you haven't watched it yet. But it's a pretty good movie. Call it a leap of faith, but if you happen to be looking for a movie to watch and have no idea what this movie's all about, take the leap, get the tickets and watch it.
Trust me. You won't regret it - especially if you're an action packed movie type of fan.
